Leica M7 Hermes Edition
I’ve been blogging about gadgets lately but this is one thing that I really doubt I would but. One it would cost more than my Europe (rescheduled for 2010) trip and two I could get a Leica M9 and a Travel Birkin with that price.
Anyway, basically it is a classic 35mm camera with a silver chrome finish and a choice of either orange or etoupe calfskin leather. It come with a Leica SUMMILUX-M 35 mm f/1.4 ASPH wide-angle lens, a matching classic round lens hood, a LEICAVIT M rapid winder and a leather carrying strap. A total of 200 units will be produced, 100 in orange and 100 in etoupe but if you are buying I suggest you go with the orange…it’s more Hermes
Oh and did I mention that although Leica
did decide to bring the prices down it’s still £8,550 or about $14,300!

You’re right that orange Leica is amazing. I’ve always wanted a standard Leica 35mm camera in the same style as these ones. I’d love one of those Hermes Leica cameras, maybe if I strike it rich someday I’ll pick one up. Until then I’ll keep a standard Leica on my wish list.
Oh gosh… I wish someone could buy me the brown one!
